Overview:
Wander CPA is seeking a Financial Reporting Senior to lead the preparation, review, and delivery of high-quality financial reports for our diverse client base. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating closely with both our tax and bookkeeping teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) for clients across various industries

• Take full ownership of the financial reporting process—even when bookkeeping is performed by others.

• Work closely with the Tax Team to ensure the books are accurate and aligned with tax requirements

• Assist with the calculation of estimated taxes for clients based on reviewed financials

• Gather and analyze source documents such as bank statements, credit card activity, and client-provided spreadsheets

• Ensure proper categorization of income and expenses within QuickBooks Online

• Maintain strong follow-up routines to obtain missing documentation or clarify anomalies

• Communicate directly with clients to deliver reports, request information, and provide financial insights

• Identify opportunities to improve client processes or reporting clarity

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, or accounting

• Strong command of QuickBooks Online

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies

• Comfortable communicating with clients and collaborating across departments

• Highly organized and reliable, with a proactive mindset and ownership mentality

You’ll ensure technical accuracy, communicate directly with clients, and mentor junior staff. This position is ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience, especially with S-Corps and Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review prepared tax returns (Personal) for accuracy
• Preapare tax returns (S-Corp, Partnership, Personal)
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, corrections, or clarifications
• Mentor junior team members and support team development
• Ensure client deliverables meet high-quality standards with minimal oversight

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in public accounting or tax preparation (S-Corp/Partnerships essential)
• Prior experience reviewing returns and managing client communications
• Strong attention to detail and ownership of assigned work
